T4 DNA Ligase catalyzes the formation of phosphodiester bonds between the 5' phosphate and 3' hydroxyl termini of adjacent nucleotides at blunt or sticky ends in dsDNA, dsRNA or DNA/RNA hybrids. QuarPro Superfast T4 DNA Ligase was developed for the ligation of DNA fragments and adapters in the NGS library construction process, and has been subjected to multiple rounds of directed evolution to give it fast and efficient ligation capabilities. It is also suitable for routine molecular cloning.
